How it works?

When starting any kind of home improvement project it is always wise to know exactly what is involved before you begin. Whether you are a do-it-yourself person or contracting someone to complete the project it is always smart to be as informed as possible to avoid any unexpected surprises. With this in mind, we would like to give you an idea of what to expect from Delorie and what is involved in the process, from getting an estimate to having your new countertops installed.

7 Easy Steps to a New Countertop

STEP 1:
Using the link above please download & print our form to help make a rough sketch of your countertops.

STEP 2:
By either using the supplier links found on our website, or by visiting our showroom, come up with 2-3 options for the material, color, and edge profile that you are interested in. (Please keep in mind we highly recommend coming to our showroom as colors are not always as they appear when viewing them over the computer. Seeing the product in person is the best way to be sure you are making the right choice.)

STEP 3:
Either in person, by email, fax, or regular mail, get your rough measurements and material and color options to us. We will then give you a rough estimate for new countertops. Remember, the more detailed and exact your measurement and material/color choices are, the more exact your estimate will be.

STEP 4:
Once you have your quote and are ready to go ahead and order your new countertops we will require a deposit to get the material ordered for your project. Once the deposit is received we will schedule for a final measurement with you. One of our qualified installers will come to your home to take exact measurements and, when necessary, make templates for your countertops.

STEP 5:
Once the final measurement is complete we will begin fabrication of your new
countertops. The time for fabrication can vary depending on the size of the project & material chosen. We will always give you a general idea of the lead time for fabrication based on your order. Generally, fabrication takes between 5-10 business days, and not longer.

STEP 6:Once fabrication is complete we will call you to schedule the installation of your new countertops. There are a few things to keep in mind when getting ready for us to come install. First, please make sure you have prepared for us to be there by clearing off your old countertops if necessary. Second, please make sure you have contacted a plumber to disconnect and/or reconnect any plumbing for your sink if necessary. Installation will take, on average, a couple of hours. Depending on the size of your project it can take longer, but is usually never more than one day (6-8 hours).

STEP 7:
Enjoy your new countertops!!!! Once installation is complete and final payment is made the only thing left to do is start using your new countertops and enjoying the transformation and updated look a new countertop can bring to your space.
